Membership in the Bulgarian-Turkmenistan Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BTCIC) is voluntary (Art. 11(1) of the Statute). By its composition, BTCIC is a mixed chamber — it may be joined by Bulgarian and Turkmen legal entities and individuals, as well as by multinational/foreign companies with market interests in both countries (Art. 11(2)). State bodies, political parties, trade unions and religious organisations may not be members of the Chamber (Art. 11(3)).
The Chamber brings its members together on a common platform for contacts, partnerships and exchange, opens up new business opportunities, and provides access to information, mediation and assistance when working on the Turkmen and Bulgarian markets.
Under Art. 12(1) of the BTCIC Statute, the candidate submits a written application to the Chamber’s Management Board, declaring acceptance of the Statute and that, in carrying out its activity, it will observe the ethical and moral standards of market conduct, the law, and international trade customs. Upon acceptance as a member, the candidate undertakes to pay the membership fee due on time — failure to do so is grounds for termination of membership under Art. 16(1)(4) of the Statute.
The annual membership fee is €100 for individuals and €300 for legal entities.
To apply for membership, download and complete the relevant form below and send it to office@btcic.org together with the applicant’s current court registration details. For legal entities, the application must also be accompanied by a decision of the applicant’s competent (supreme) governing body approving the application for BTCIC membership and authorising the signatory to represent it in this procedure (Art. 12(3) of the Statute). The BTCIC Management Board reviews applications received and rules on them in accordance with the procedure established in the Statute.
