Georgi Agafonov attended the opening of the renovated equestrian complex in Ashgabat

Georgi Agafonov, Chair of the Management Board of the Bulgarian-Turkmen Chamber of Industry and Commerce, attended the opening of the renovated equestrian complex in Ashgabat on 30 September 2026.

The new complex is dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses and combines sports infrastructure, training and competition facilities, grandstands, a water treadmill and an area for horse beauty contests. The facility was announced as having a capacity of 1,200 people.

The complex includes laboratories and veterinary departments for monitoring the health and physiological characteristics of the horses. The official information portal of Turkmenistan presents the project as combining practical care, sports training and a scientific approach to the breeding and preservation of the breed.

The area around the facility has been landscaped, while the access road and lighting have been upgraded.
